Return To Absence (Arcane Collective)
Return to Absence inhabits the rich and peculiar realm of Samuel Beckett’s trilogy of novels Molloy, Malone Dies and The Unnamable. This new work embodies the resonant images, wrought emotions and bleak humour characteristic of Beckett’s world, brilliantly portraying the human condition often at the end of its tether. To quote Beckett; “Dance first. Think Later. It’s the natural order”.
With mesmerizing concentration and kinetic dexterity, Arcane Collective, founded by dance artists Morleigh Steinberg and Oguri, is a co-op of international artists from interdisciplinary backgrounds.
